History Carlock's Bakery of Los Osos, California has been 'Carlock family' owned since 1961. From the time Gary was nine years old, standing on a wooden crate in front of a donut fryer in his parent's bakery, he knew what hard work was all about! Through the years, Gary has personally insured the Carlock name represents pride of ownership and consistent quality, in every donut, pastry, cake, or brownie produced. |

| Since 1965, Barbara has worked professionally as an influential cake designer, driven by the desire to fulfill her customer's dreams. She has put her artistic ability to use, and learned her trade, (hobby, as Gary laughingly refers to it), from her father-in-law and other notable cake decorators such as John McNamara and Roland Windbeckler, just to name a few. | ||

The wedding cake is the symbolic centerpiece of the reception, and its importance has not diminished with time.
